Balochistan province in Pakistan is reeling from clashes. 193 people died in attacks between Balochistan rebels and the army over 40 hours. Officials said that among the dead were 145 rebels, 17 policemen, and 31 civilians. They said that clashes are taking place in 12 areas, including Quetta. For years, there have been struggles for independence in Balochistan, which accounts for 42 percent of Pakistan's land area.
