4.38 lakh cusecs of water enters Prakasam Barrage
Andhra Pradesh: Due to the rains in the upper reaches, 4.38 lakh cusecs of water is entering the Prakasam Barrage. As a precaution, the authorities are releasing water into the sea through 69 gates. Fishing has been banned in the coastal areas of Krishna River. The water level at the barrage is currently 12.9 feet, and the first danger warning is still in effect. Meanwhile, ponds, rivers and projects are full due to the onslaught of Montha cyclone.
