Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme funds have been released to 9.44 crore farmers across the country. At a program held in Tarakeswar, Hooghly district of Bengal on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.. A total of Rs. 18,880 crores were released at once under the 23rd tranche of PM Kisan. Under this scheme, which started in 2019, the central government is providing a total of Rs. 6,000 to eligible farmers under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three installments of Rs. 2,000 each annually.
