A small mistake in the name... led to 13 years of court appearances
A small mistake made while registering a case caused a low-level employee to spend 13 years going to court. In a case of electricity theft in Sahai village, Agra (D), Uttar Pradesh, while filing the case against the accused, the name was written as Tuhiram, s/o. Mohan Singh instead of Tuhiram, s/o. Manoram. Tuhiram learned about the case registered in 2012 in 2014. After a long struggle of 13 years, the court acquitted 73-year-old Tuhiram Singh.
