Advanced Radar Research Facility in Assam to Monitor Satellites and Space Assets
Bengaluru: ISRO has taken a significant step towards strengthening the nation's defense and surveillance capabilities. It is establishing a state-of-the-art facility in Assam to safeguard its satellites and other critical space assets. Construction has commenced on the Advanced Radar Research Facility (IARRF) at Chandrapur, on the outskirts of Guwahati. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently laid the foundation stone for the facility in the presence of ISRO Chairman Narayanan. This center will operate as part of ISRO's 'Project NETRA'.
