Anantapur Agri Story: R. Kottala Farmer's Multi-Lakh Input into Watermelon Cultivation
Tirupal Naidu, a dedicated farmer from R. Kottala village in Roddam mandal of Anantapur district, has invested heavily in watermelon cultivation across four acres of land. To maximize yield, he planted 26 packets of the 'Golden Gori' variety. Overall, he incurred ₹3.3 lakhs in expenses towards seeds, field plowing, mulching sheets, labor charges, and pesticide sprays. He now eagerly awaits market stability to ensure fair returns and cover his substantial input costs.
