Bangladesh Elections: India and Hindus Mentioned in Manifestos
With elections scheduled in Bangladesh on February 12, the major parties have released their manifestos. The BNP, led by Tarique Rahman, under the slogan 'Bangladesh First', has promised legal protection for the properties and places of worship of Hindus. It stated that it would treat India as a friend, not a master. On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami said it desires good relations with India but remained silent on the protection of Hindus.
