Bathing here washes away sins
The Papakshaya Ghat, located on the banks of the Mahanadi near Binka in Odisha, has a history of 900 years. It is said that Ananga Bhimdev, who was suffering from the guilt of killing a Brahmin, bathed here and was liberated. King Kapileshwara built the Shiva temple where a cow milked itself. It is believed that bathing in the Mahanadi here and visiting Lord Shiva will wash away sins and bring peace of mind. Many people visit this ghat, which is peaceful in the lap of nature, every year.
