Bird Flu Scare Again
Bird flu, which had subsided for some time, is spreading again. The Avian Influenza virus has been detected in Alappuzha and Kottayam districts of Kerala. The state government stated that it has taken measures to control the virus. The Tamil Nadu government has set up special checkposts in districts bordering Kerala, including Nilgiri and Coimbatore. Veterinary teams are inspecting poultry vans to prevent the virus from spreading into Tamil Nadu.
