We hear in the news that Malayappa Swamy is taken out in procession during the Tirumala Brahmotsavam. But he is also a Srivara. Malayappa Swamy, along with his two deities, is seen by devotees in all kinds of festivals, processions and Brahmotsavams. While the original idol in the sanctum sanctorum is stationary, Malayappa Swamy is the one who moves towards the devotees to please them. These idols were found in an area called Malayappakona, manifesting themselves.
