Employment Guarantee Save Campaign from the 10th
The Congress party will conduct a 45-day nationwide agitation demanding the restoration of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and the withdrawal of the new VB Jeeramji Act introduced by the central government in its place. The party's general secretaries, KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh, announced at a press conference in Delhi on Saturday that this movement, titled MGNREGA Bachao Sangram (Save MGNREGA Campaign), will be held from the 10th of this month to the 25th of next month.
