Former Australian cricketer Martin in a coma
Doctors have announced that former Australian cricketer Damien Martin (54) has gone into a coma. He was admitted to a hospital in Brisbane on December 26 due to illness, and his health is currently critical. They stated that Martin is suffering from Meningitis, which causes brain inflammation. Martin scored 5,346 runs in 208 ODIs and 4,406 runs in 67 Tests. In the 2003 World Cup final, he scored 88 runs against India despite a broken finger.
