Good news for gold lovers: Limit increased on jewelry brought from abroad
According to the new ‘Baggage Rules 2026’ that came into effect today, female passengers who have been abroad for more than a year can bring up to 40g of gold jewelry, and men up to 20g, without any tax. The duty-free limit for general goods has been increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000. Permission has also been given to bring one new laptop. The limit for foreign tourists has also been increased to ₹25,000.
