Lahore: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing a difficult time after Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir gained immense power. Now, preparations are underway to move Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to an undisclosed cell on Munir's orders. Imran Khan has repeatedly threatened his life to Asim Munir. Meanwhile, the Pakistani government says that due to the ongoing protests by Imran's supporters outside Adiala Jail, he will be transferred from Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail to another prison. Will Imran Khan never be able to get out of jail now? It should be noted that Asim Munir was recently appointed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of Pakistan following the 27th Constitutional Amendment. This gives him command of all three armed forces and the nuclear weapons control. Munir is a staunch enemy of Imran Khan. A senior Punjab government official stated that the provincial administration will soon consult with the central government and make a decision on this matter. The official said, "The Punjab government is seriously considering transferring Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan to another jail due to the ongoing protests outside Adiala Jail." He added that District Jail Attock is also among the options. Imran Khan's supporters gather outside Adiala Jail Imran Khan's supporters are continuously protesting outside Adiala Jail. Following this, Ikhtiar Wali, information coordinator for Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, told reporters that the ongoing protests outside Adiala Jail are disrupting the daily lives of the people living nearby, so the government is considering shifting the PTI founder elsewhere. He claimed, "An attempt is being made to create chaos in the name of protests outside Adiala. Many PTI leaders want their imprisoned leader to be shifted elsewhere." Imran Khan's lawyers denied access to him again Tensions escalated outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday when the jail administration once again denied Imran Khan's sisters and lawyers access to him. Following this, his sisters and supporters began protesting, prompting Punjab Police to use water cannons to disperse the crowd and seize several vehicles early Wednesday. The area was later cleared. Condemning the police action, the PTI alleged that Imran Khan's family was not allowed to meet him despite court orders. The party called the use of water cannons on women in the harsh winter "inhumane" and alleged that the former prime minister was being deprived of even his basic rights as a prisoner.
