India’s First Reusable Rocket Engine
'Abyom SpaceTech and Defence Private Limited,' located at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus, has achieved a rare distinction. It has garnered international recognition by successfully completing the qualification test campaign for the country's first reusable liquid rocket engine. The Abyom team developed this rocket entirely using indigenous technology. Typically, rockets are not reused once they have been launched. However, reusable liquid rockets—which are powered by liquid fuel—can be utilized multiple times.
