Major Blow to the US in Operation Epic Fury
Today marks the 14th day of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. According to major news emerging from the battlefield this morning, the U.S. has suffered a significant loss in the fighting. Reports indicate that a KC-135 air refueler aircraft, participating in "Operation Epic Fury" against Iran, has crashed. It is worth noting that the KC-135 aircraft serves the critical function of refueling combat jets mid-air during operations, thereby eliminating the need for fighter aircraft to land repeatedly.
**4 Crew Members Dead in Crash**
The U.S. military has reported that four of the six crew members aboard the U.S. military KC-135 refueling aircraft that crashed in western Iraq have been found dead. The U.S. Central Command announced this in a statement.
The statement read: "The deaths of four of the six crew members aboard the aircraft have been confirmed, and rescue operations are ongoing." The statement further added: "The cause of the incident is under investigation. However, the aircraft crash was caused neither by hostile fire nor by friendly fire."
**CENTCOM Confirms Incident**
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has also confirmed the loss of the KC-135 air refueler aircraft. In a tweet, CENTCOM stated: "U.S. Central Command is aware of the loss of a KC-135 air refueler aircraft. This incident occurred within friendly airspace during Operation Epic Fury, and rescue operations are underway. One aircraft went down in western Iraq, while a second aircraft landed safely."
U.S. Central Command has not yet explicitly confirmed the specific causes behind the aircraft crash. In its tweet, CENTCOM noted: "The crash of the aircraft was not caused by hostile fire or friendly fire. Further information regarding this incident will be provided as the situation develops. We request continued patience as we gather additional details regarding this matter and work to provide clarity to the families of the service members involved." Over 6,000 Targets Destroyed in Iran
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command released the latest update on Operation Epic Fury, claiming that the United States has destroyed over 6,000 targets and 90 vessels in Iran within a span of 12 days. Launched under the directives of President Trump, this campaign involves continuous strikes aimed at completely dismantling Iran's security infrastructure. In the attacks conducted under Operation Epic Fury, the U.S. has deployed its most formidable stealth bombers. According to available data, the U.S. military is utilizing state-of-the-art weaponry in these strikes, including B-1, B-2, and B-52 bombers; F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets; as well as A-10 attack jets, guided-missile destroyers, and aerial refueling tankers. Statistics indicate that the targets of the U.S. strikes included Iran's command and control centers—specifically the IRGC headquarters buildings—as well as Iranian naval vessels, submarines, and facilities and warehouses associated with mine-laying vessels.
