Oil Companies Losing ₹1,600 Crores Daily?
Despite rising crude oil prices in the international market, petrol and diesel prices in India have remained unchanged. Consequently, financial experts estimate that oil companies are incurring massive losses. Reports suggest that they are currently losing approximately ₹18 on every liter of petrol and up to ₹35 on every liter of diesel sold. Overall, it appears that oil companies are incurring daily losses amounting to ₹1,600 crore. If this holds true, these organizations face inevitable monthly losses of up to ₹50,000 crore.
