Sankranthi festivities... Hotels are fully booked
Andhra Pradesh: The festive atmosphere of Sankranthi has begun in the Godavari districts. Hotels and lodges in areas like Bhimavaram, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Tanuku, Kakinada, and Rajahmundry are fully booked. People are arriving from Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka for the cockfights. Large arenas are being set up for the fights. It is learned that hotel owners are charging between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 60,000 for rooms for three days.
