Setback for Pawan Khera in Supreme Court
AICC Media Chairman Pawan Khera faced a setback in the Supreme Court. The Assam Police registered a case against him regarding comments he made alleging that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife possesses three passports. In response, Khera had obtained transit anticipatory bail from the Telangana High Court. When the Assam Police challenged this in the Supreme Court, the apex court stayed the High Court's order. However, the Court clarified that its order would not impact any application for anticipatory bail that Khera might file in the Assam High Court.
