Under this scheme, the Center is giving huge subsidy for setting up solar power. Apart from this, it also offers loans from banks. You can generate the electricity required for your home through this. But the AP government took a new decision to implement this scheme. Recently, Electricity Department Minister Gottipati Ravikumar made an important announcement. He made it clear that this scheme will be implemented free of cost for the people of Dalits, tribals and backward classes.
Free for SC, ST
SC, STs will be given the opportunity to install solar power free of cost.. A large amount of subsidy will be provided to BCs. For this it is suggested to apply online. It is also suggested that one can visit the secretariat and apply. He said that through this system introduced by the Centre, up to 300 units of free electricity can be obtained. The Center has decided to implement this scheme for crores of people across the country.
How is the subsidy..?
Through this scheme, the Central Government provides subsidy if you want to install solar power at your home. For example, if you want to set up a 3 kilowatt solar power generation plant, it will cost you Rs. 1.50 lakhs. You will get a subsidy of Rs. 70 lakhs on this. The remaining amount will have to be settled by you. If you go to pmsuryaghar.gov.in website and apply, the officials will grant you permission. After that a new meter will have to be installed. Through this you can get free current facility.
