Vande Bharat: Rs. 8 crore for the manufacture of a single coach!
The Vande Bharat sleeper train is soon to be launched on the Guwahati-Kolkata route. This will be another significant milestone in the Indian Railways. This train has been designed to travel at a speed of 180 km per hour. It is reported that the manufacture of each sleeper coach in this train cost between Rs. 8 and Rs. 8.5 crore. It has advanced features. With a total of 16 coaches, it can accommodate approximately 823 passengers.
