Voter list revision across the country from next week!
The EC will conduct a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list across the country from next week. It is understood that it will be started in 10-15 states in the first phase. It is reported that the Special Intensive Revision will be carried out first in the states where elections will be held in 2026. States where local elections are underway or will be held soon will be exempted from this process. Meanwhile, elections will be held in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry in 2026.
