Iran has expressed gratitude to India for participating in the funeral of its former Supreme Leader, who died in a joint attack by Israel and the US. Iran stated that India stood by them during difficult times and that they would never forget the country's friendship. The Iranian Embassy in India posted a message to this effect on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "By participating in the funeral, the historic and cultural bond as well as mutual respect between the two nations were powerfully demonstrated. We will always cherish India's friendship."
