Where should photos of deceased people be placed?
Vastu expert Krishnadiseshu suggests that photos of deceased people should not be placed in the prayer room along with the pictures of gods. He explains that this is wrong according to Vastu principles. ‘No matter how great the deceased person was, they are not equal to gods. It is best to hang their photos on the south-facing wall, which is considered the direction of Yama (the god of death). Their photos should not be kept in the hall either. Otherwise, problems may arise in the house. They should be placed in the correct direction according to the rules of Vastu,’ he said.
