‘Your grandfather also came from India..!’
Nalin Haley, the son of US Republican leader Nikki Haley, has sparked a debate over a tweet calling for tougher measures against mass immigration. He said that immigration is not providing jobs to American citizens. To this, British-American journalist Mehdi Hassan gave him a strong counter. ‘Your grandfather also came from India,’ he reminded Nalin. Nikki Haley’s father, Ajit Singh Randhawa, migrated to America in 1969 and settled there.
