1,84,970 Engineering Seats
Amaravati: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has granted permission to increase the number of engineering seats in the state by an additional 6,600 compared to last year. With this, the total number of seats in the state for the 2026-27 academic year has reached 1,84,970. The number of engineering colleges has decreased as several colleges have transitioned into private universities; the count dropped from 243 last year to 234 this year.
