No income.. no work, but there is only a little. Yet, audits are conducted from time to time and they are in the official records. This is the plight of 383 public sector companies in the country. Even if these companies are closed, there is a long legal procedure, some companies are in court cases, and it is not possible to use them as assets for political reasons. This is burdening the taxpayers. Bihar has the highest number of inactive companies, 39.
