84.28% voting in Panchayat elections
Telangana: 84.28% polling was recorded in the first phase of Panchayat elections. Out of 53.57 lakh voters, 45.15 lakh people exercised their right to vote. The highest voter turnout was recorded in Yadadri district at 92.88%, and the lowest was recorded in Bhadradri district at 71.79%. More than 90 percent people also exercised their right to vote in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Khammam districts. Counting was completed in 3,300 sarpanch and 24,906 ward seats till midnight.
