An Air India aircraft suffered damage to its engine this morning at Delhi Airport after a baggage container became lodged in it. According to the airline, the incident occurred while the Airbus A350 aircraft was taxiing in dense fog at the airport. According to media reports, an Air India spokesperson stated, "Air India confirms that flight AI101 from Delhi to New York (JFK) had to return to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to the unexpected closure of Iranian airspace, which affected its planned route."
