With the surge in oil prices, airlines are contemplating levying fuel surcharges on tickets. While Air India has already begun collecting these charges, IndiGo has now followed suit. The airline announced that, starting tomorrow, it will impose an additional charge ranging from ₹425 to ₹2,300, depending on the specific flight service. Meanwhile, it appears that SpiceJet and Akasa Air are also poised to follow this trend. Reports suggest that internal discussions regarding this matter are currently underway, and the revised fares are expected to be finalized shortly.
