An effective cancer drug without side effects!
Scientists from Northwestern University (USA) have redesigned a chemotherapy drug with nanotechnology and brought about a major change in cancer treatment. The drug 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu), which causes side effects, has been converted into spherical nucleic acid (SNA). It destroys leukemia cells 20,000 times more effectively. It targets cancer cells without harming healthy tissue.
