Telugu chess players Advait Vignesh and Saranya Devi shone on the international stage. At the Asian Junior Chess Championship, Hyderabad's Vignesh clinched the title in the Open category, while Guntur's Saranya won the girls' blitz event. In the tournament that concluded here on Monday, Vignesh finished tied on points with Vireshesh and Nandish but emerged victorious by securing a better score in the super tie-breaker. In the girls' category, Saranya finished at the top of the standings after the final round and lifted the trophy.
