"Ask Amit Shah to come to the House!"
The Congress party reiterated in the Rajya Sabha that Union Home Minister Amit Shah must appear before the House and provide an explanation regarding the lathi-charge on students during the CJP protests at Jantar Mantar. MPs from the Congress and other opposition parties rushed into the Well of the House, chanting slogans demanding that Amit Shah come to the House and answer. In response, Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan gently suggested to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju that the request for Shah's presence be considered and the opposition's sentiments be conveyed to the Home Minister.
