Basic policing has been forgotten: DGP
Telangana: DGP Shivdhar has commented that the police in the state have forgotten basic policing with friendly policing. ‘There should be both now. Priority should be given to intelligence gathering along with checking vehicles and community policing. Intelligence should be collected from the grassroots level. Law and order should be handled impartially. The police have no connection with parties. The aim is to protect the people,’ he said in a meeting of SPs and commissioners.
