Bird flu causes massive chicken deaths... Is it safe to eat chicken?
Andhra Pradesh: In Puttavaripalle, Ammagaripalle, and Kambhamvaripalle villages of Sadum Mandal, Annamayya district, hundreds of chickens died, prompting the Animal Husbandry Department to become alert. Officials stated that chicken samples were sent to a lab in Bhopal, and it was confirmed that they were infected with the bird flu virus. Amidst the fears and anxieties surrounding bird flu, they issued crucial guidelines. They said that chicken and eggs heated to a temperature above 100 degrees Celsius can be consumed.
