Food Prices Were Raised—But Will They Be Lowered Again?
Citing a shortage of cooking gas cylinders and the need to purchase them at inflated rates on the black market, many hotels have hiked their food prices. There is some truth to this claim. However, common people are skeptical: will the hotels actually lower the prices they raised once the gas crisis is resolved? They point out that during the COVID-19 pandemic, prices were similarly hiked; even after the pandemic subsided and normalcy returned, those same elevated prices were maintained. It remains to be seen what they will do this time around.
