Children die after consuming cough medicine.. Doctor arrested
It is known that 11 children died after consuming Coldrif cough syrup in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The police have arrested the doctor Praveen Soni, who prescribed the syrup. The police said that a case has been registered against Srisan Pharma Unit of Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, which manufactured the syrup. The cough syrup used by the children contained 48.6 percent diethylene glycol, which is poisonous, officials said.
