Ready to sacrifice his life for the youth: CM Dhami's big statement
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a major statement on Wednesday in support of the youth protesting against the alleged cheating scandal at the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). He said that he would not only bow down for the youth, but would even get his head chopped off if necessary.
Speaking to reporters after an event, Chief Minister Dhami responded to criticism from those who believed he should not have gone to the protest site to meet the protesting youth or given in to their demand for a CBI investigation.
CM Dhami said, "The youth of the state were sitting there in the heat and sun, expressing their demands. Certainly, some people might wonder why I went there and why I gave in to their demands. I say that if I have to bow down for the youth, I can even get my head chopped off, because they are our future. They should not face any kind of trouble." The Chief Minister acknowledged a lack of communication between him and the protesting youth, but he personally visited the protest site to establish a dialogue and accepted the youth's demands.
Approval of CBI Investigation Recommendation
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a recommendation for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the cheating scandal that surfaced on September 21. He reiterated that the government is fully committed to ensuring a transparent recruitment process and that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
