New Delhi: Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah announced a decision to expand the business operations of cooperative societies. As part of this initiative, he declared that a new 'Cooperative Life Insurance Corporation' would be established. He also revealed plans to expand 'Bharat Taxi'—operated under the Ministry of Cooperation—to another 500 cities across the country over the next two years. Shah made these remarks while speaking at an event held in Delhi on Monday to mark the fifth foundation day of the Ministry of Cooperation.
