Cotton purchases within a week: Thummala
Telangana: Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the government will not tolerate any action against the interests of farmers. He reviewed the issue of cotton procurement. ‘We have instructed the millers to purchase cotton within a week at any rate. We will meet with the CCI CMD and representatives of the Cotton Millers Association on Monday. We have brought to the attention of the Center the problems arising due to the non-participation of ginning mill owners in CCI tenders,’ he said.
