Crop damage in 1,49,302 hectares
Amaravati: The estimated loss of agricultural crops damaged by Cyclone Montha has increased. While the Agriculture Department initially estimated that crops were submerged in 1,38,391 hectares, after enumeration at the field level for the last five days, the estimated loss has increased by almost 11,000 hectares... reaching 1,49,302 hectares, officials recorded on Monday night. Officials have completed enumeration in 3,849 villages in 387 mandals in 24 districts, excluding Kurnool and Sri Sathya Sai districts.
