Cyber Crimes Cost Indians 22,842 Crore in One Year
New Delhi: In a single year, a whopping Rs. 22,842 crore was lost to cybercriminals in the financial year 2024-25. Moreover, compared to the first three months of last year, eight times more cybercrimes were reported in the first three months of the current financial year. These facts were revealed in a recently released report by Delhi-based ‘Data Labs’. It has been said that about Rs. 1.2 lakh crore is likely to be lost due to cybercrimes in the current financial year.
