Declare the entire state a drought-affected region: Kunamneni
Hyderabad: CPI State Secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao has urged the government to declare the entire state a drought-affected region, noting that drought conditions have emerged across the state due to the impact of El Niño—a situation that should not be limited to just a few mandals. He demanded that both the central and state governments immediately announce a comprehensive action plan to support the people. He further warned that if anyone creates an artificial shortage by hoarding essential commodities, his party would launch direct actions against those responsible.
