Do you know about Justice Suryakant?
Justice Suryakant, who is in the race to be the next CJI of the Supreme Court, was born in Hisar, Haryana in 1962. After receiving a law degree in 1984, he was made AG of Haryana in 2000, a High Court judge in 2004, and the Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh HC in 2018. He was elevated to the rank of Supreme Court judge in 2019. If appointed as the CJI, he will take charge on November 24 and continue till February 2027.
