Flood of migrants into Spain
Ceuta: Thousands of migrants have swarmed Spain, creating a situation akin to a bursting flood. Within just two days, 60,000 migrants illegally entered the Ceuta peninsula, a Spanish territory on the African continent. They reached the city of Ceuta by swimming across the sea from the neighboring country of Morocco—a highly perilous journey. Eighteen people drowned during this crossing. The sudden influx of thousands caused a stampede along the Ceuta coast. Currently, migrants are visible everywhere in the city of Ceuta.
