Penalties the way to curb illegal constructions...
The High Court observed that constructing additional floors without permission has become a habit and stated that such actions should not be condoned. It suggested curbing these practices by imposing penalties. The Court made these remarks while hearing a petition filed by Aruna Agarwal—a resident of Alkapur Township in Neknampur, Gandipet Mandal—who sought orders to regularize the additional floors she had constructed, invoking Sections 455-A and 455-AA of the GHMC Act.
