Gas Crisis: Argentina Comes to India's Aid
Argentina has stepped forward to address the LPG shortage in India, which was triggered by the conflict in West Asia. In just the first three months of 2026, it supplied approximately 50,000 tonnes of gas to India. This figure is more than double the total volume exported throughout the entirety of the previous year. Despite the arduous journey spanning nearly 20,000 kilometers and the substantial transportation costs involved, Argentina has ramped up its support to meet India's energy requirements.
