Geopolitical effect on the budget!
The impact of geopolitics is clearly visible in this year's budget. To counter China's dominance over rare earth metals, the central government has announced a Rare Earth Corridor. The exemption on basic customs duty related to nuclear power until 2035 and the launch of Semiconductor Mission 2.0 appear to be measures taken to reduce dependence on foreign countries. Significant funds have also been allocated to defense to strengthen national security.
