Germany's Dominance
Houston: Former champions Germany made a spectacular start to their World Cup campaign, raining goals down on the underdog team, Curaçao. In a Group E match held on Sunday night, Germany defeated Curaçao 7–1. Goals for Germany were scored by Felix Nmecha (6th minute), Nico Schlotterbeck (38th), Kai Havertz (45+5th, 88th), Jamal Musiala (47th), Nathaniel Brown (68th), and Deniz Undav (78th), while Curaçao player Livano Comenencia (21st) scored his team's only goal.
