Green signal for the procurement of 2,545 MW of solar power
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) has approved the procurement of 2,545 megawatts (MW) of solar power from central government entities. The approval covers the purchase of 1,045 MW from NTPC, 500 MW from NHPC, and 1,000 MW from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The commission has greenlit the procurement of power from NTPC and NHPC at a rate of Rs 2.45 per unit, while for the 1,000 MW from SECI, it has approved a rate of Rs 2.37 per unit for 700 MW and Rs 2.38 per unit for the remaining 300 MW.
